Paul E Paul - Biography
Paul E Paul has always had a great passion for music - he started collecting vinyl records at the age of 12!
He was influenced by friends who were already in the music industry at the time, and from a young age his ability to entertain developed and strengthened through continual practice on his friend's turntables. With time this passion grew and before long his natural talent was exposed and recognised from his peers.
He invested in his first pair of Pioneer turntables at the age of 13. His determination grew - practising day and night!
As Paul E Paul began to realise the wide genres of music around, he started collecting and playing music; from RnB, Drum n Bass, House and Garage, Hip-Hop, Reggae and Bhangra. A year later he was performing and hosting parties in his local area.
His passion accelerated and soon he was recording demos for various people including his local Slough record store. They were undoubtedly impressed and Paul E Paul's first breakthrough came as they asked him to perform at a major event.
He performed during the early times at gigs and events, starting at 09:30 pm - 10:30 pm, however it was evident that being on stage at such an early age did not intimidate Paul E Paul.
Promoters had been listening and were quickly taken away by the young performer. By now his talent was recognised by key players in the industry.
Paul E Paul received a lucky break one night when one of the high profile D.J.'s was unable to attend. He was asked to cover his set, playing alongside big names. After being greatly complimented and applauded for his performance, his contact details were asked for - the future was beginning to look very promising!
In the years to follow his hard work allowed him to obtain resident D.J. spots at large clubs within the local area. However this was not enough for Paul E Paul, as he moved his focus on taking control of his own success.
He started a promotion company with other artists and it was not before long he was soon recognised on a global scale.
Paul E Paul gained his stage experience through various shows around the world including Dubai - USA - Canada - India.
From here, it became apparent what Paul E Paul needed to achieve next - he envisioned producing, writing and performing his own music.
During the year 2007 Paul E Paul's music was used for a US commercial that was aired on MTV.
In 2008 / 2009 the BBC requested one of his songs to be played across a selection of their channels, including the worldwide MOBO Awards show.
He then began producing and writing tracks in the studio with well known artists who were keen to work on his productions.
Paul E Paul however had one more goal that was yet to be achieved, vocally performing his lyrics, over his own productions.
Through months of hard work, he wrote and produced the track titled "Girl In The Club" - an entertaining single, with simple verses, creating a sound that was perfect for the music climate today.
